What or Who is a Green Deal Provider.
Broadly described as a company or organisation that has a primary function within the Green Deal Scheme.
They enable the work to be implemented or carried out for clients, with their main roles being:
- Based on the recommend action from qualified assessor they can offer green deal plans to consumers.
- Supply financing deals to cover the cost of home improvement measures, such as the cost of conservatories
- Enter into a contract with consumers for the installation of any Green Deal measures which are to be installed by properly authorised installer.
- Act as the counter-signatory for Green Deal Plans / CCA (consumer credit act) agreement.
They also have some on-going responsibilities & obligations, such as handling consumer complaint issues, making sure they send annual statements or provision of updated info, if and when the payer of the bill has changed.
Once you have your Green Deal Advice Report (GDAR) you can take this to any Green Deal Provider to get quotes and to organise and agree your individual Green Deal Plan.
